The MT-8R 5W-30 has been developed primarily to meet the specific requirements of turbodiesel engines fitted in Renault and Nissan passenger cars and light commercial vehicles equipped with a particulate filter (DPF). Low sulfur and low phosphorus (low SAPS) engine oil effectively prolongs the life of particulate filters. It can also be used for all other diesel engines for which the manufacturer has specified the use of ACEA C4-rated engine oil. It is suitable for service cycles of up to 40,000 km when used in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
